Christopher Lloyd plays "Headmaster"
Three-time Emmy winner, Christopher Lloyd, plays the “Headmaster” in Avalon Family Entertainment’s production of Jack and the Beanstalk,
“Casting Christopher as the ‘Headmaster’ was a no-brainer,” stated Gary DePew. “He is a virtuoso of over-the-top, dead-pan comedy.”
Lloyd first made an impact playing a psychiatric patient in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest and would go on to establish himself through a string of memorable characters such as “Reverend Jim Ignatowski”, the ex-hippie cabbie on the TV sitcom Taxi; the eccentric inven- tor “Emmett ‘Doc’ Brown” in the Back to the Future Franchise; and as “Uncle Fester” in The Addams Family and Adams Family Values.
Other notable roles include Klingon Commander “Kruge” in Star Trek III: The Search for Spock; the villainous “Judge Doom” in Who Framed Roger Rabbit; wacky sound-effects man “Zoltan” in Radioland Murders; and Al, the head Angel in “Angels in the Outfield”
Lloyd has won three Emmy® Awards - two for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his work in both the 1982 and 1983 seasons of Taxi, and the other for Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series for Disney's Avonlea (1992). He has also won an Obie Award (1973), and a Drama Desk Award (1973) from the Village Voice for Outstanding Performance in the Off-Broadway play Kaspar.
